Hi,
I am currently designing a web site and I want to put a slide show on the front page. I searched google and found NivoGallery. I installed it in modx and followed the steps to put it on the web site but the directions do not tell me how to put the slideshow in the template. Can somebody help me with this or know a simple way to add a slide show on my web site? All I need is a simple slideshow.. Thank you.

NivoGallery comes with a template. The TVs and chunks you'll need (and where to add them) in your site's template are shown in that template:
[[*nivoTheme]]
[[*nivoGallery]]
[[$nivoScripts]]
Also note the TVs that are attached to the NivoGallery template, you'll need to make sure your template is assigned to those TVs and they will need to be set before your resource can save (required TVs).

Thank you for your replies. I am still having trouble with this. I added [[*nivoTheme]] [[*nivoGallery]] [[$nivoScripts]] to my template. Do I have to create tvs? if so, what do I put in the tvs?

The TVs are created upon installing, but they are assigned to the NivoGallery template. You need to assign them to the template you inserted the tags into. Open the TVs nivoTheme and NivoGallery and in the templates tab, tick the box for your template. They will then appear when you open a resource that is using that template.
