Login => Reports => System Events => Click "Clear Log" button

Login => Reports => Manager Actions => Click "Search" button => Results are shown => Click "empty the log file"

Once both have been cleared, in theory, your DB should shrink

If your DB is full of logged events, there must be something wrong
