Got to admit that I don't yet know what those thing are that you are referring to, but I did find that changing the Access Permissions for the TVs cleared up the problem for me. Also am loving your manual!

TVs can be hidden by Form Customization, by Resource Access ACL entries, and by Element Category ACL entries. Have you done any of those?
