The PHP6 handler is actually for PHP 5.4, which is slightly concerning in my mind. What happens when they finally deploy PHP6, do your sites break because of their unusual mapping?
In regards to the MySQL upgrade, you likely need to move the manually. If you have issues just ask.]]>AMDbuilderJun 15, 2013, 07:41 PMhttps://forums.modx.com/thread/84827/1and1-mysql-4-deactivation#dis-post-469154

AddHandler x-mapp-php6 .php
would upgrade your PHP to version.. 6? That doesn't exist yet Anyway that's not related to your MySQL databases at all, unless 1and1 is doing some real funky stuff.
Am I right in saying then that I've now got to create new databases and migrate?
From the sounds of the FAQ linked to in that email, I'd say yes.]]>markhMay 31, 2013, 01:26 PMhttps://forums.modx.com/thread/84827/1and1-mysql-4-deactivation#dis-post-467750

Today I received an email from 1and1 saying that the MySQL 4 databases would actually be deactivated. I've pasted the actual email below.
Am I right in saying then that I've now got to create new databases and migrate?
From 1and1:
As already announced by e-mail to
****@********.com, we will start deactivating MySQL 4 at the
beginning of next week.
If you have not already migrated your databases, please do so as soon as
possible to be on the safe side on the day of deactivation. If you are not
able to migrate your existing MySQL 4 databases until the deactivation
period, you will be able to reactivate your locked databases for a grace
period of an additional 14 days. To do so, log in to your 1&1 Control Panel
(https://www.1and1.co.uk/login) and select your locked database under
Domains & Web Space > Web Space > MySQL Administration. With the 'Unlock'
button, you can reactivate your database for additional processing. After
these 14 days, the database will be automatically locked again.
Do you have any further questions?
Give us a call. Our team will be pleased to support you - 7 days a week, 24
hours a day: 0844 335 1212.
Or send an e-mail to: [email protected]
We wish you a lot of success with the new MySQL version!]]>chrisandyMay 31, 2013, 01:04 PMhttps://forums.modx.com/thread/84827/1and1-mysql-4-deactivation#dis-post-467749
