You could set default charset for Squirrelmail. Try to find $default_charset in its config file.

not realy Modx related, but don t know where to go to.
I have a customer that runs a Modx Multilingual site (YAMS) with Farsi as a language of choice.
Problems arise when receiving email in Farsi, they show the ASCII codes and not the Farsi signs.
She is using the UebiMiau webmail, part of direct admin. If she wants to use outlook does she need an add in like Farsi Express?
Suirrelmail does not seem to support Farsi at all, or does it?
