I am pretty sure I already saw a discussion about this one and Jeff tested and dismissed it...
That’s why he did something else which is the AjaxFileManager which will undoubtedly replace the horrid MCPUK we currently have, once bugs are ironed out...

My users love tagging support in KFM, that’s why AjaxFileManager is probably not an option.
How does it handle multiple file upload? Next version of KFM will be featuring fancy SFWupload...]]>

However, it’s a kludgy way of trying to cover for insecure server configurations, and will be eliminated in PHP 6.

It does have a lot of other possible settings as well to control access to various things.

However, it’s a kludgy way of trying to cover for insecure server configurations, and will be eliminated in PHP 6.

Any ideas why safe_mode is not supported? (under "requirements")

Don’t know, my host properly virtualizes servers so safe_mode is always off...]]>

Its the best one I found, and works great as the front-end resource browser/editor.
Maybe I’ll try to integrate it with MODx Manager if I find some time next week...
