It's as if the associated page URL is not included.

By itself, generally it is. Quip, itself, often works fine for most setups. In my experience, it is when Quip is used in Articles that things bugger out.

Actually, you almost never have to modify the core files. Quip allows you to specify which Chunk to use. What most of us do (to avoid patches overwriting our own work) is create a new Chunk, with the code from the original inside it.
