MODx version: 0.9.6.1p2
Time for an upgrade, surely? At least to 1.0.4, or very soon now to 1.0.5, for security reasons if nothing else?

Hm. I would say that’s a bug; editing should not change the original author. A quick look through the code doesn’t find an obvious point where this value is set/updated, though.

Thanks for your reply Susan.

The version of Jot that I am using is 1.1.2 and modx manager reports the following -

MODx version: 0.9.6.1p2
Version codename: rev 3281

Is there any where I can look to see how it’s handling moderation - I can then post the code which may help?

BTW, have you personally noticed that Jot doesn’t retain the original author? Just wondering as this tool is pretty useless in terms of moderation if this is a bug.]]>

I have recently created a blog section on my website using Jot.

Everything is working perfectly except for editing comments. I made it so only a moderator user account can see the moderation tools. This works perfectly, i can edit any comments that are submitted. However, after i have edited the comment, the author changes.

For example, lets say Mike Jones makes a comment "hello world"

I may want to make the "h" into a capital. After i submit the change, the author becomes Moderator.

Is there a way in Jot or anything else (maybe phx?) that will keep the original author?

Hope that all makes sense smiley]]>
