Just hope to make kind of similar property search in MODx but way simpler of course.

I’ve seen Open Realty (OR), and some commercial addons for OR, but I’m looking for something more flexible and simpler.

Any suggestions?

A lot of MLS services offer RETS compatibility, and that might be worth looking into as a group. A RETS ditto for MODx. It’d be big but be worth it for the prject and us MODx devs.

Very nice... !
Does the site integrate MLS listings searches then in some way, it looks like it does?
Good luck looks really good.

nope. just an iframe, i wish there were an API for that thing - but as is that was unfortunately my only option.

I was curious about that too. I’m doing a real estate site that doesn’t use MLS, but has its own in-house listings. So instead of MODx I’m having to turn to Open-Realty... not exactly thrilled about that, but, its a decent piece of software.

http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/struct/objects.html#h-13.5

From what I read, object is going to be used instead of iframe but is only needed if you want to validate a strict docu site.

There’s an example of an object.

I’m not saying you have done anything wrong, just wondering. wink

Looks great... just wondering what made you use an Iframe and not an Object? I like the subdomain idea aswell.

I don’t know a method that I could implement this service’s output by using an object.. do tell please? smiley

One comment on the design... the yellow background color on my screen looks too close to throwup yellow.
Maybe look into a darker/bolder/or brighter shade of yellow for the background or make it the same yellow
as in the header

Corporate Style Guide = (most often) Too bad for the designer. I agree with ya that a few adjustments to the palette could make the site pop a bit more, but when restricted based on existing colors there’s not very much leeway.

Very nice indeed! A great example of a real estate site. The agent’s sub sites rock, it is a very nice touch. Are they managed with the same MODx as the main site?

Nice use of JS effects as well. Very good job grin

They are, and each is under its own MODx install which is pulling content for several pages from the main site - which the main site’s admin manages and updates.
