Never thought of just moving files.
It is an option in the file manager as well.
Works just as fast.

I’ve used ipswitch ws_ftp pro for a decade but FlashFXP looks worth checking out. Very cool looking interface.

revolution download files are zipped into folders ie: modx-2.0.6-pl --> directory files.

The fastest way to get modx up and running is to ftp zip file and unpack on server. (small upload - 45 seconds - 1 minute. Unpack 5 seconds.)
MAJOR time savor over download to local drive, unzip and then ftp individual directories and files to server. (for cpanel users - File Manager --> select zip file then unpack)

When the files are placed in a parent folder then zipped it prevents the ability to unpack in directory of choice. unpacking the zip file places it in the modx-2.0.6-pl directory on the server.

Regards,
Happy Holidays.
