Well, actually a good starting point for beginners would be the apache manual I would think. Nice tool indeed, but potentially lethal in the hands of ignorance. Besides I’d personally be a bit paranoid with typing in my htaccess details into any public site, especially when some directives require your donaim name, paths to password and group files etcetera. No better way for a nice day of phishing...
