The sad thing is that few seem to have learned anything from this, and Microsoft’s efforts to ram through their own proprietary "standards" are still finding fertile soil. I develop in Firefox and everything works great. Then I check IE and the most inane errors show up.

I’m new to Modx and look forward to working with it. This isn’t true for all users. The UK government has mandated that all government departments will remain on IE6, because it’s too big a job to test and resolve incompatibilities with all their systems, yet they know it’s insecure. It’s the same story in many businesses (my previous company started testing IE7 long after IE8 had been released.)

This is despite the fact that other governments recommended all citizens stopped using IE altogether.
