I could use some help in translating the lexicon files for the upcoming release of UpgradeMODX 2.0.0 (which, imho, kicks butt).

The German translation is finished.

The Italian and Swedish translations are partially done, but I never heard back from the original translators. For those, only the new lexicon strings need translating. For those, I've added the new strings in English to make it easier. For these two, only the default.inc.php file needs translating. The files are here:

For other languages, just grab the two files in the English directory and translate the strings to the right of the equals sign.

There's no need to do a pull request unless that's easier for you. It's actually easier for me to cut and paste the file contents so I can make sure they will be in utf8 and have Unix-style line endings.

Leave a response to this message to volunteer so others will know which languages are still needed.

Please put your name and a way to contact you into the comments at the the top. If you prefer to leave out your email address, just PM me a note here telling me how to reach you. Do include your name in the file comments, though, so you'll get credit for the translation and I'll know who to contact if I have questions or trouble with the files.

You can PM me for my email address and just send me the files (preferably not zipped). If your email provider won't allow .php files as attachments, just change the extension to .txt.

So far, I have volunteers for:

  • French (finished)
  • German (finished)
  • Swedish (finished)
