The first could be misunderstood as logging in to modx.com.

What about just "Login to your Dashboard" or "Login to your MODX Dashboard"?

I'm hoping 4.x (all new Manager) will feature a user friendly home screen aka "dashboard" they'd first be taken to.]]>

Quick suggestion -- on the button at the end, change:

Login to MODX

to something like:

Log in to your MODX Manager

The first could be misunderstood as logging in to modx.com. Also, (and this is mostly personal preference), I like Login as an adjective ("Login credentials"), but log in when it's a verb.

The "Continue" button on the first page is dead for me in Chrome -- Windows 10 Version 53.0.2 (32-bit), but not Firefox.

It is still very much a work in progress. I made a screencast that goes over the design and goals showing it working as intended

Hoping to push out a preview that is more functional and using the new REST API for the package "wizard" soon.]]>

I did not see any step within the gif showing any setup for the core path (mainly to put it above the public_html directory)

If you go to the demo that is in the Context & Connectors section
https://github.com/jpdevries/modx-setup#demo

I guess there will be an option within that section to nominate where the core will be installed and named. The path that you type will be to the directory to where each section will be installed, so you can name it whatever you like (one of my favourite MODX security features which puts, in my mind MODX far a head of any other CMS).

Really love this installer. Well done MODX team.]]>

Many thanks for posting the gif. The install process looks great. I did not see any step within the gif showing any setup for the core path (mainly to put it above the public_html directory)]]>
