Answered Formit does not email after updating to Revo 2.4.0

Before the update? Yes, I did! I even did it again just now, and it doesn't make a difference.

Took out Recaptcha too, I even uninstalled it... Still no email send!

Are you using SMTP? That's usually more reliable. Also, of any of the addresses are on localhost, that can mess things up

No, using LocalHost... But I think we're getting off topic... everything was working just fine until I updated the site to 2.4.0.

I agree that it sounds like a problem with 2.4.0, but using SMTP could solve it, since that bypasses much of the MODX mail code.

SMTP could solve this maybe, but it would bypass the symptoms.

There is something wrong sending the mail. I remember a circumstances when the mail is not sent and the hooks after are executed. But the missing error messages in the log are a bit strange.

• The mail body is empty (this should occur in the docs)
• The from address (normally the email_sender system setting) does not match with the allowed domains of the vhost.

Don't you think the problem lies with Formit? I tested with QuickEmail and it send an email just fine. It seems to me Formit has an issue with Revo 2.4.0.

I have several 2.4 Installations with Revo 2.4.0 and FormIt mailing without problems. So I think it is some configuration issue.

did you try it with a very simple form at a resource with a very simple template (just formit and the form)
and just the email - hook?
