Nice! Will it automate the installation of all the dependencies?

Sounds great Menno.
Will it import Articles articles, and if so, do you have to run a separate process to import them?

Hi Menno,
Thank you so much for creating this!!!
This definitely looks like it has some awesome potential! I don't do much with blogging, but I wanted to check it out, especially with all the recent talk about collections.
I wanted to see what was involved in importing posts from Articles into BlogIt, so I just did a little experiment:
1. Set up a new vanilla install of 2.3.5 (I just used modxcloud)
2. Downloaded BlogIt (which installs sample content as you said)
3. Downloaded Articles, and wrote a sample article
4. Installed phpMyAdmin (I'm a database guy so I wanted to see how it was stored in the database)
5. Looked at the table modx_site_content, and noted the differences between the sample content installed with BlogIt and the sample content with Articles
6. Based on step 5, I did the following for each article written with Articles:
a. Change the value of the "parent" field to the value of the "parent" field in the sample BlogIt posts
b. Change the value of the "template" field to the value of the "template" field in the sample BlogIt posts
c. Change the value of the "class_key" field from Articles to modDocument
d. Set the value of the "uri" field to NULL (in phpMyAdmin that's the checkbox)
e. Set the value of the "properties" field to NULL
I cleared the cache and my article now showed up in collections and did render ok.
In something like Bob's case (where he has a bunch of articles, he'd probably want to do an update statement against the table rather than changing each article).
This probably goes without saying, but don't try this on a real production site because this was just my quick little POC and I make no warranties that this will work without a hitch: you'd want to actually test this thoroughly.
HTH,
Tom
Thank you Tom!
Great work and it will be very helpfull when i try to create a importer.
