Has anyone got any experiences, good or bad, using Godaddy hosting?
Thanks
Mike
Yes. It usually does OK with Evo, but Revo has problems with it. And SkyToaster, with excellent MODX support (their own site is on MODX) is cheaper.

I've had both good and bad with goDaddy. I have Revo 2.3.1 running on their newer cPanel without any issues. But, have had some major hiccups here and there with the Ultimate hosting. I believe that all new hosting plans are cPanel. Support typically has been excellent, though the delays getting through these days seem to be increasing.
Skytoaster has been excellent, without issue. Updates easier too with Softaculous. Backups with the cPanel are a breeze. Great support. Plus, not sure whether it has to do with proximity, but compared to goDaddy, and myHosting, I definitely think the MODx 2.3+ manager runs significantly faster with Skytoaster.

SkyToaster makes sure their servers are configured to best handle the multitude of AJAX requests that MODX uses. There are some hosting companies that will block because there are too many requests within a given period of time, so the trees won't get fully loaded. Not to say GoDaddy is one of these, but it's something to consider.

goDaddy is one of those that block.
In hindsight, for a MODx site, I would probably vote against goDaddy, and recommend a MODx friendly host. For me, it's a reseller plan at Skytoaster. I'm sure there are other worthy MODx friendly hosts, but I can only speak based on my own positive experience with Skytoaster.
I have used a number of hosts over the years, and other than a lovely little Solaris-clone VPS with entic.net the happiest I've been is with SkyToaster. A2 hosting is also good, but I had to make a decision and went with SkyToaster, mostly because Patrick has been active on the forums for years.
Early on it seemed that every hosting company I used started out pretty good, then gradually over a few years overloaded their servers and became bogged down with too many customers to support well. Email also often becomes a problem the bigger a hosting company's load becomes, the main reason I quit Bluehost some years ago was that their mail servers were constantly getting blacklisted from the spammers or hacked sites sending out spam. Nowadays there is CloudFlare and other CDN services to help carry the load by serving images and other static files, but it's still worth quite a lot to me as a professional webmaster to be quite confident that I don't have to worry about server issues with my client's or my own hosting solutions.

I've seen a number of reports from people having trouble with MODX on GoDaddy.

If you are looking for a host with servers in close proximity to Italy, a few of Bob's recommended hosts offer Europe servers. If you are looking for hosts that offer support in Italian I am unaware of any providers off hand.
Somebody (in Italian) suggested aruba.it a couple of years ago, although the same poster also recommended GoDaddy
