I performed two clean installs, set compress js and css to false, deleted cache on server, clear browser cache, tried various browsers, and checked file permissions. Manager does not fully display (resources, files and only icons for elements), cannot logout, performing manager functions results in code 200 OK error dialog.

    Here are server settings:
    Apache version 2.2.26
    PHP version 5.3.28
    MySQL version 5.5.34-cll-lve
    Architecture x86_64
    Operating system linux

I am on shared hosting and script installed with softaculous.

Here is a video demoing the issues:

    Any suggestions or advice?

      Roy,

Am having the same problems that you describe and can't figure out what is wrong. Strangely enough when I try to reinstall some packages, it keeps on relating to articles-1.6.3 while I am running 1.7.8.. something got screwed up, but what..

      Things like:

[2014-07-19 03:34:13] (ERROR @ /connectors/index.php) MODX could not download the file. You must enable allow_url_fopen, cURL or fsockopen to use remote transport packaging.
      [2014-07-19 03:34:13] (ERROR @ /connectors/index.php) Could not transfer package articles-1.6.3-pl/xPDOTransportVehicle/155df8c3d6333bc1aa777d6ed1cfb81a/archivist-1.2.4-pl.transport.zip to /home/me/example.com/core/packages/.

UPDATE: I manually got the transport package for articles-1.6.3 and unzipped it in core/packages. The above error is now gone.

Have you got anywhere in the mean time?

      • Softaculous is not always reliable. Actually, the few times I've used it, it never did work properly. I'd be inclined to download the zip from MODX, upload it, extract it via your CPanel file manager, and move the files into place.

To get that dreaded Code 200 OK fixed; make sure class_map is selected in the permissions.
To get log out back, make sure menu_user is selected in the permissions.

Be sure to Manage > Flush Your Permissions as not always new settings will be reflected.

I did an manual install and get the same problems.

I also looked into the class_map and menu_user permissions. Both are set to 1 in the database. typed in 1 saved and deleted cache on both server/browser. I checked cache a both are listed as true in the cache.

            Still not working.

Modx works fine on another provider I use. support staff at my host is seeing what they can do on their end.

              RND and Scottwell,

I do appreciate the help and suggestions. Having a good support community helps. I felt like my response did not represent by appreciation for your time and efforts.

              Thanks

Hi, do have exactly the same problem as rdegler. Any activity ends up with CODE 200 OK PopUp.

Question, does this happen to the admin user or a user with limited permissions? In my case it happened on a user and by trial and error could isolate which permissions caused the error. I actually created a user to test with instead of an active user on my system. FMMV

This is a bug that should be fixed in the next release of MODX. It only occurs on servers that prepend a PHP file to every request.

@rnd: this happen to the admin user. I can not even establish another user (CODE 200).
@BobRay: what's the meaning of "a server that prepend a file to every request"? Can you explain that to a dummy?
Do you think, i should go back to restore the backuped site - would be quite a job. Isn't there fix around?
