    Sorry for taking so long to respond to you on this; I've been crazy busy the last few weeks and only last night had a chance to actually try the install.

    I was able to install MODX and OpenCart in the same domain and sharing the same database; there were no file collisions because the file folders were kept separate. The database had no name colissions because MODX tables are, by default, prefixed with modx and OpenCart prefixes (by default) with oc.

    At the end of the install, there are two managers (one for MODX and one for OpenCart). To integrate OpenCart into MODX, you'd need to create pages which access OpenCart database tables. To do that, you could take the opencart pages, "chunkify" them and then make MODX pages out of them.
