[SOLVED]Anchor tag return to main page

Hi All

Ok, it seems that this is an old topic... i tried everything to solve this problem but i didn´t!! sad

I have a tabbed navigation built with Wayfinder + GetResources. It´s working nicelly without FURL enabled. I´ve installed a plugin called Base Url Same Page Link to solve the problem when enabling the FURL´s, but the problem still there. I´ve tried the solution based on [[*[[id]]]]#my-anchor , but no sucess.

I´m building this website in a test server, inside a folder... not in the root... is because of this that i´ve keep having this issue?

Base URL used to get me all the time but it seems you've sorted that one.

By

[[*]]/#my-anchor

do you mean

[[~[[*id]]]]/my-anchor

?

What setting is being generated for the base url in your page code?

Well, i´m expecting something like this:

http://www.mydomain.com/some-folder/some-file.html#hash

And yes... i tryed this solution...

[[~[[*id]]]]#my-anchor

!!
Am i doing this right?

Sorry - my example example was slightly wrong. What I was getting at is on this page: http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Named+Anchor

You mention not being able to solve the problem - what is the problem exactly? Are you being dropped at the home page of the site or are the links just not working at all?

Well if i have the FURL turned off, my anchor links work nicely! If i turn on, they simply stop working!!!! sad

To give an idea... i´m doing a tabbed navigation with Wayfinder and GetResources plugins. Wayfinder generates the Tab Navigation (ul#tab-nav) and the getResources plugin generates the tab content.

I have tabs running on a site I'm developing currently. I take it there's some JS involved to switch them?

Just checked and my links look like:

<a href="path/to/page#div-id">div name</a>

My base looks like:

<base href="http://some.site.com/">

So the base is only referring to the site while the anchor link itself does all the heavy lifting in terms of same-page awareness. I'm using activatables (http://code.google.com/p/limba/source/browse/trunk/limba/cgi/js/activatables.js?r=289) to power mine with the above configuration and it's working well with FURLs on.

It may be vital to have the base URL just pointing to the site rather than the path for the

[[~[[*id]]]]#anchor

solution to work.

Maybe try changing the base href to the root URL of the MODX site rather than using the plugin and implementing the first solution from http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Named+Anchor

What is your output with this code?

Do you have the base path in the <head> of your page?

<base href="[[++site_url]]" />

Is the .htaccess file set up correctly?
