I'd also like to register interest in this. Based in Derbyshire, and would welcome the opportunity to talk to other devs about MODX without having to first have a conversation about what makes it different to, erm, everything else...
Oh, and of course have a geeky whine about the modExt/xpdo discipline compared to the free-for-all spaghetti-coding 0.9x days...

Hmmmm....I wonder if i could book it in work time so I dont have to grind Wife rep to do it
So bring the wife, and make a weekend of it. I brought my partner to Ultricht, and we had a great time both at the expo and the next couple of days, taking in some of the sights. A boat tour through the canals of Amsterdam was especially nice. I'd always only thought of Venice with canals. I learned something more than MODx that weekend!

As I'm only 40 minutes up the road from Manchester it'd be rude not to get involved.
I'd make the journey, I'm from Wiltshire.
Failing that, I would be prepared to organise something for us southern lot.

I dont think that Manchester has as much to offer as Ultricht Susan
Well, it's got the National Football Museum...

I don't think there's enough of us oop North to get a meetup going.
How about, the few that we are, that we do a car share and go down south next time they have one there?
Mike
How many people do you think you need for a succesful meetup?
I'm seeing plenty of positive feedback in this thread that provides a solid base to grow attendance over time. You dont need 20 folks a first, second or third time
Being active in my own local community I'd recommend picking a date and a location and just see how it goes. You might be surprised!
