  • I don’t believe there were 2.1.1 was a patch release to address some issues and bugs reported after the release of 2.1.0. We typically announce Lexicon changes for upcoming releases a week before the release of an RC or PL if there are changes to be made.

    Thanks for your question.

      Hello,

      anything new about your plans to improve the communication with the translators? There have been quite some changes in the GitHub version recently, and it would have been nice to get a newsletter that informed me about the changes.

      In addition to the things I already mentioned in April, it would be nice to get some basic information about what the new features do and how they work - that would make the translation process much easier sometimes. I often have to search a while just to find the Manager page where the new phrases are used, and then some more time is necessary to understand what is happening there.

      Interminable sentences like

      $_lang['user_group_category_policy_desc'] = 'The Policy to apply to this Context with Elements in the Category for this User Group. This will grant all Users in this User Group with the selected minimum Role all the Permissions in the Policy.';

      aren't very helpful, too. Add "Resources", "Chunks", "Packages" and "Lexicon" to it, and you have mentioned everything there is in MODX Revolution. wink Well, yes, I do understand it and have translated it (hopefully correctly), but I had to read it three times, and I could imagine that I'm not the only one who finds this "help text" moderately helpful.

      BTW: Two phrases refused my attempts to translate them:

      $_lang['user_group_category_context_desc'] = 'The Context to target for Elements with the above Category associated to them.';
      $_lang['user_group_resourcegroup_context_desc'] = 'The Context to target for items with the above Resource Group associated to them.';

      While most of it is easy to understand, I have some difficulties with the "target" part. Could you please rephrase this for me? And which "items" are meant in the second phrase? Resources? Or is there anything else Resource Groups can be associated to?

      Thanks in advance! smiley

        Hm, does it mean "to preset" here? That would make sense...

        • Jan these are fair questions. I am going to create a new thread for the 2.1.4 translations. There are only a few lines. We don't want to ask for translations until we are close to release. Your request for clarification is valid. I will quote/copy your questions into the new thread.
