MODx marketplace for template

Hi .. I have some wordpress templates that I want to convert to MODx ..
is there any site that selling professional template for MODx so that I can sell my templates there too ?

What do you guys think of the market for MODx template ? Is it high demand ?

It’s a planned service we hope to introduce in the near future directly here on MODx. Similar model to Apple’s iTunes arrangement which seems to be mirrored with increasing frequency (the business model that is) pretty much everywhere.

Themeforest are way behind in introducing a modX section of the site - they recently introduced a section for the magento e-commerce system (which is dreadful to work with + v. expensive) ahead of anything useful like modX - I am an author/seller on themeforest and graphic river and constantly ask the mods if I can add a modX version of the themes I sell - basically they ignore this request I think because they don’t want to rock the WP boat and they do not know how modX works to evaluate if the theme/functionality is up to spec. (fair enough on that one I suppose).
I have an inbox full of support from other themeforest authors who would love to sell some modX functioning site templates mainly because if you browse the ’item requests’ forum at TF most buyers cannot understand that the spanky new theme they just bought does not have a working blog/search..etc.etc.
All I can say is the sooner the better for a system/site with this ability - devs/designers could make a few bucks, punters would be happy and modX would also make some $ - win/win/win - IMHO a ’modxvillage’ selling premium themes is THE one thing that would push modX to the next level of popularity.
I would be willing to help set this up/give it some time, whatever needed.

This would be awesome if something like this is supplied. I do usually check Themeforest and it is a pain to find a theme to use with MODX. Im using one of the themes from TF for one of my modx site. If this is ever implemented - I will be one happy camper!

Reviving this discussion, hopefully! Would be a great addition, esp for people just getting into modx.

To start, i think that templates should be distinguished/shable from the other packages in the package manager.
