Definitely not. SPForm is a quick and dirty contact form for people with limited programming skills. It's not built for any post processing. You'd have to hack its code to do that. FormIt with one or more postHooks be a much better choice.

You're welcome. I wrote SPForm a long time ago and I'm pretty familiar with it's limitations.
I would have updated SPForm if FormIt were not such a good solution.

[note: problem solved, see next post. - user error.]
hi there,
This is my go-to simple contact form, 'cause it's really excellent.
Anyway, quick question: the response message - I'd like to change it but I can't seem to find where it's coming from...? @prop set doesn't seem to wrk for setting the Tpl. I ended up changing the language file, but it didn't do anything. The cache has been annihilated, so I know I'm doing something wrong. But the message text isn't in the tpl's so I'm a bit stuck.

I believe the placeholders are all set in core/components/spform/model/spform/spformclass.inc.php, but you're free to replace the prompt placeholders in the Tpl chunk with real text or add any text or HTML you like between them (or redesign the whole form). Just don't change the placeholders in the input or textarea lines.

I installed this package and I indeed get a form. But when I want to fill it in and hit submit, I get a blank page. Are there still some things that I need to configure or do before it works?

Add &warnAll=`1` to the SPForm snippet tag and, instead of the blank page, you should see a message telling you why it's not working.
