    MODx Revolution 2.0.0-rc-2 rev6923
    TinyMCE 4.0.0 rc3

new to MODx and tinyMCE. When editing Chunks in Revolution RC2 there is no TinyMCE editor only box for plain HTML; TinyMCE is installed in packages and does show up and work in other sections e.g. Document. From tutorials for Evolution it looks as though there is box to choose Rich Text editor at bottom of Chunk. Am I missing something (configuration) in Revolution or is it just not there?

    thanks

Glad someone asked this question as I was wondering too. Is there any word on when this will be supported though? The way I use ModX lends itself for my clients to use a WYSIWYG editor in the chunk area (things like footer copyright info, links, header graphics, etc).
Any information about this particular issue or workarounds would really be helpful. Thanks

            any solution to this?

what if we install other text-editors? i’m currently using tinyMCE.

            • On the other hand, I’m one of some people who don’t want TinyMCE in chunk.

TinyMCE always tries to be smart by inserting HTML tags into snippet calls, which makes trouble rather than solution.
I usually put my snippet calls with their full and complex parameters in chunks, and place them safely into template.

The FireFox add-on "It’s all text" will provide an editor for chunks.

Also, the CodeMirror plugin will do syntax highlighting and error checking on Chunk code, but it’s not a WYSIWYG editor -- it’s a code editor.

Any progress on subject? There is an option "Editor to use for Elements" under Rich-text Editor area, but it doesn’t seem to work sad

Bump...Any update on this? We are running MODx Revolution 2.0.4-pl2 and have the elements editor set to TinyMCE but we can’t see an editor for chunks.

I too set things up this way for exactly the same reason. And setting TinyMCE as the "Editor to use for Elements’ doesn’t appear to do anything.
