FYI, the Login package now contains a ChangePassword snippet. I haven’t used it and don’t know if it would do what you want.
Funny that, tried to create the ChangePassword snippet and discovered it was already included! It’s a job in progress. I’ll let you know how and where I use it.
I’m assuming it runs as part of the UpdateProfile - one question re UpdateProfile snippet (bit off subject here)- when someone makes a change can this page be redirected to Profile page to see that the changes have actually been made?
Thanks again Bob for your input.

I’m not sure. Check the parameters for the snippet and see if there’s a redirect property. It may also redirect to the profile page by default.
Ok I’ve used the ChangePassword snippet and have elected to use it on a separate page as it didn’t seem to work when added to the UpdateProfile, however, whilst the snippet works I can’t seem to get it to out put a message to say something like ’congrats password successfully updated’ . Tried various options including &successMessage=`1` but nothing seems to work - any suggestions.
Otherwise I’ve almost got everything work as I would like.
Thanks

Try this:
Put the following placeholder on the page with the changeLogin snippet:
[[+logcp.successMessage]]
Use these parameters in the snippet tag:
&successMessage=`Congratulations, you've changed your password.`
$reloadOnSuccess=`1`
Thanks for this, however, the code needs to be like this to work:
&successMessage=`Congratulations, you’ve changed your password.`
&reloadOnSuccess=`0`
Thanks for your help here too.... works perfectly now

I couldn’t find any documentation how to use changePassword snippet;-(
It would be great if I could see a basic example of it!!
Like I said I am surprised that there is none.
IMHO when a user has our auto generated password it would be great when redirected from his/her email account could enter:
auto generated password; new password and conformation of new password.
I think changePassword snippet could do it, but not sure how;-((
Thanks
Everything is EASY if you wanna do it badly.
