There is in the beginning: Open your .htaccess file(s) and add the following to it.

Where to find .htaccess file(s) ?

No, I mean in the filesystem, where you have uploaded modx installation files via FTP perhaps.. So you need to access your webserver with a FTP client and look in to the modx installation root.

Do you mean that I have to install something extra?
I’m using MOD simply from Internet Explorer Browser..
              God..
              • Then how did you get the MODx files uploaded to your server in the first place?

The "ht.access" file is part of the original installation, it just needs to be renamed to ".htaccess" if you are using it. It will be in the same place as your "index.php" file, and your "assets" and "manager" folders.

You also need to rename the one that is in the "manager" folder, if you rename the one in your root (the one in the "manager" folder just turns off the rewrite engine for that folder, since you don’t want it when you are in the Manager).

                    O - I found ht.access!!!

but the problem is that when i’m trying to click on it - it’s nothing going on - how to open it?
                    can it’ be blocked?

(situation is that I’m trying to administrate after another admin - he is not available more, so I need to do it..)
                    • What FTP program are you using? If you’re not using one, you need to be doing so (maybe try Cute FTP for starters).
