Ah dangit, that’s the list I was looking for! Thanks! I think a link from "Tag Syntax" to this page would be in order, like "For a list of all available resource-tags, click here".

      I’d like to see a tutorial on how to backup/restore a website/context.

        Hello

The basis of tags are explained here http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Tag+Syntax

From there you can understand that...

Thanks for the explanation, but I’m clear with the syntax and have finished about 10-20 sites with MODx so far, that’s not the issue. The issue is that I would like to be able to access all the available vars such as [[*pagetitle]] and [[*introtext]] in a clear list, so that I know whether or not there’s underscores in it etc.

About the cheatsheet: where can I find it, and is it updated for Revo yet?

The fact that I can’t find it may be a sign that it’s not in the right place (maybe refer to it in the "Tag Syntax" part of the documentation?)

Anso, thank you for your excellent explanation, that does help a lot. But.... what he said ^^^ wink Anyway, I found some links to docs I hadn’t seen before, (the links were in the detailed descriptions in the package manager) and some of the package’s tags are well explained, some are not. And many of the packages don’t have links to their docs. So I guess what I’m suggesting, I guess now that I have a handle on what the tags mean I need to learn how to build more than simple tags to be able to do anything really useful.

I haven’t built any sites yet with MODx, other than my test site.

            http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Custom+Manager+Pages

There is a reference to Smarty here but a real working example would be great.
I would like to have a custom shopowner list like in /security/user/list.tpl but then extended with some fields.

How to accomplish that? Thanks in advance!

Something that better explains Security options and how they are all supposed to work together. Sifting through what’s there now just makes my head hurt.

Another vote for Security settings...it’s very confusing and is the one thing (currently) preventing me from using it on more sites.

Ideally some examples of setting up the more typical scenarios that would better explain the security relationships....video tutorials perhaps?

This has been re-written somewhat lately: http://bobsguides.com/revolution-permissions.html.

I’ve rewritten it further to account for the changes in that last few versions. The newer version will be up when I finish converting the site to Revolution.
