(Tutorial) Making member-only pages in Revolution [WIP]

No, I thought it did, but it doesn't handle Resource Groups as far as I can tell.

It all works like a charm. When a container with resources in it is added and also when an article container is added.

Hm. Select Item Plus All Children would made a nice option in the Tree.

You're welcome. Does it work when you add Resources to a Resource Group on the Resource Groups tab of the Create/Edit Resource panel?

Does anyone have a good idea for the name of the Extra?

I only tried it when dragging the container to the left side (resource groups). Never tried it from within the resource container itself. If you want i can try it tomorrow. Too late for any brain activity in Sweden right now:)

Got another question. Not sure if i have missed something but i have added a resource into a resource group.
When adding children into that resource ( that is now a container ) the children does not inherit the settings. And i am also able to view the children as an anonymous.

Aren't children supposed to be protected automatically?

Hi! I'm already despaired - I have troubles to make a resource accessible to only a specified resource group - and for the time being times easy to lock ( will not be accessible to anonymous visitors of a website - if the protected id is entered, this should page does not appear ) .
Is there possibly a bug in MODx Revolution 2.2.6 -pl (and even in 2.2.10)?

I proceeded as follows (right like described in the tutorial http://rtfm.modx.com/revolution/2.x/administering-your-site/security/security-tutorials/making-member-only-pages):
1 ) Resource group "members " was created. (loaded the specific ressource to that group)
2 ) Access controls: - user group " User" was created containing the Resource Group "members " (under Resource Group Access ) and a user "member".
3 ) Resource group "members " has the web context, the role is member 9999 and he has the authority load / list / view.
4 ) Flushed Permissions

The ID (resource) to be protected, is still viewable.

Does anyone have advice or perhaps had the same problems? It simply doesnt work as described in the tutorial. I tried it on a website running modx 2.1.1 - and there is no problem.

But you aren't logged into the manager at the same time with the same browser, while trying to view the frontpage?

And on another note, update those versions to 2.13 out of security reasons.
