Yes eheheh tongue). Just because WP is good for blogging, I don’t mind if we do it with MODx. I’d really love a MODx tut website with multiple editors.

Any chance to get it internationalized? How about contribution?

        • It definitely will be a multi-lingual destination, and we’ll be looking for writers for sure.

I have to agree there. IMHO saying that modx is good for blogging goes in the same lines as saying that WordPress is good for CMS. smiley

Yeah, have been waiting for a good modx tutorial site. I mean with the basics, and stuff like, "how to build a back-end to a xml/flash site using modx". Wanted to start one myself, but I’m more of a business/marketing guy than a web designer/developer.
              • I dunno about all that... I just set up PubKit for a client who was going to install a WordPress site just for adding a blog section to his site. Took less than an hour to set up the web user group and a web user for him and modify the demo "sitelet" blogging section it installs (mostly just removing the interesting stuff it does that I didn’t need); of course styling the Ditto results to please took a bit longer, but then so would WordPress.

I must agree here, some time ago I had the need of adding a blog in my website and I decided to use MODx, and is working very well (expecially in the SEO area), although I had problems implementing a tagging system and add contributors permissions.

Anyway, after reading Susan comment I have changed my idea about choosing WP or MODx. I think that MODx would be a better choice in this situation because having a MODx blog, it would be much easier to make a working example of the tutorial. There are many way of doing this, with TV or wise use of Templates and chunks.

I like the idea that it’ll be multi-lingual as I am already writing tutorials in Italian for MODx Evolution (and expecially because my English is not good tongue).

I think that a quality tut website will not only help many newcomers but also increase a lot the number of user that choose MODx as favourite CMS.

Is the MODX U(niversity) still "coming"?
                    • I really have interest in creating and selling MODX templates. I would also be interested in developing this marketplace website.
