Hi; After stumbling through learning to use MODx, when I finaly had the light go on, I decided to document the entire process of creating the first template that works. It is aimed at the very new MODx user - or perhaps one who is trying to use MODx with out sucess.
Cheers,
Hal D

Mohsen; Thanks for the comments. The tutorial is a work-in-progress. I intend to add to it over the next several weeks. The next addition will be on how to use the built-in editors to add back the content. There is very little at the moment to point the new user to these editors (tinymce, fckeditor and quickedit) or how to use them in styling the content.
Cheers,
Hal D

Hi. Since I want to put a gallery in my own site - I’ll add MaxiGallery and MaxiGallerySolo to the tutorial next week. Also there will be more on menus.

Actually the title of the tutorial is:A New User’s How-To-Use MODx Tutorial
I’ve updated the Tutorial. It now includes a horizontal menu as well as the vertical one, and both are explained. Also added an explanation of where the summary in Ditto comes from.
Cheers,

Mohsen: Thanks. If you don’t mind since I’m revising the tutorial on a daily basis - we need to give it rev numbers. Perhaps I could just send the updates to you for PDFing and then you could PDF and post them?
cheers,
Hal D
