Have you tried disabling the browser addons or using another browser?

Is there anything useful in the MODX Error log?

Now I tried also Safari on a MAC and there I have the same problem.

"Console running ..." and nothing else.

And now I tried to install a package in another web on another server, but in my Firefox on the PC and there the console worked fine and installation was succesful.

So it looks more and more as if it were a server-side problem.

      ???

            No, nothing :-(
            • It's either something to do with the server configuration, or a bad MODX installation. The first thing I would try is to use the install.php file stand-alone to "upgrade" my MODX installation, basically using it to re-install the existing MODX installation, running setup in upgrade mode. This would ensure that all of the files are properly in place.

I tried this already without any success.

Thanks to my friendly helpers. The problem seems to be solved now. After all these attempts I contactes the hosting company. They looked into their logfiles during the running download and installation processes. He had to enable some IDs for MODx and now it looks as everything is working. First packages are installed successfully.
