Cant see Manager page to login

Hi.

Got an odd one... Had a 2.3.5 Revo site live for about 6 months, just looked to login to the manger at https://www.example.com/manager - but I see the error page for the site...

Any ideas what has happened???

Site seems to all be rendering OK... But cant see the Manager login page....???

Have you tried to remove all the content of your "core/cache" folder ?

Not yet... That was my plan - but fear it might take down the website... Which I cant deal with right now!

Deleting the core/cache folder content is safe, I do it every day in production website without any problem.
All the cache will be automatically rebuild.

Yeh, I know - but if there is a larger underlying issue, likely clearing cache will reveal issues with front-end site pages as well as the manager...

What does the error page say ?

Its the MODx Error page that I have created in the manager previously - e.g. the custom error page

Is it the 404 page or the Unauthorised page? If it is the 404 page is it possible that the /manager folder, or it's contents, could have been moved or renamed, resulting in a genuine 404 error?

It's the MODX error page I have designated in the system prefs - cant change it to see what genuine error is as cant login to the manager

Check the core/cache/logs/error.log file.

Also, look at the content of the /manager/index.php file to see if it has changed.
