    Yes. But it only forces the button on the sudo listing (where it already works). The Member listing still shows no button.

      I'm afraid I'm out of ideas. It's pushing the limits of NP to have multiple edit buttons on a page. Only showing the edit button on the members' own pages is also pushing the limits. Doing both at the same time may just be a bridge too far.

        If things didn't work so well for sudo (perfectly, actually) I would be inclined to agree. But even when I try to implement non-NP functions (like a delete button on the listing page) it works flawlessly for the admin user-group, but members are another story.

        It's got to be a permissions problem, but with the convoluted ACL etc. I just can't make any troubleshooting progress.

        Thanks anyway.

          Does it work for members of the Administrator group who are not sudo users? If so, there may be hope.

            The listing delete button works, but the NP button does not.

            I guess I'll have to forgo some of this functionality and just use the stripped-down version which works, just not as nicely as I had hoped.

              @BobRay,

              Not that it matters at this point but in case it's of interest:

              Even if I make a member a sudo Admin with corresponding full rights across the board the NP button still doesn't appear. It only shows for the admin that created the very first account during the initial MODX setup.

                  BobRay,

                  A follow-up:

                  When I started this thread I was unable to use/install NP 2.1.0 which might have been the core problem, I don't know. I've since installed 2.1.0 and revisited this problem.

                  In short, your below suggestion works whereas previously it did not. I don't understand why changing the Chunk's &ownpagesonly from '1' to '0' solves it since other editable pages use '1', but the edit button now renders the same for members as it does for sudo users. Finally.

                  Elsewhere in this thread you suggested that using multiple np_edit buttons on the same page (which are nested in Chunks rather directly on the page) might be more than NP can handle (parsing issues etc.). But that doesn't seem to be the case, NP is cruising along just fine.

                  Thank you for your help.

                  Try this, but just in that Tpl chunk:

                  [[!NpEditThisButton?
                      &np_id=`9`
                      &np_edit_id=`[[+id]]`
                      &ownpagesonly=`0`
                  ]]
