Ok. Get into the site_plugins table and see if there's a plugin for Google Analytics, and if there is, disable it.
Thanks for sticking with me sottwell. No, there's no obvious entry in there, all I have is:
Ace
phpThumbOfCacheManager
TinyMCE
ImagePlusRouter
ClientConfig
MIGX
AchivistFurl
QuipResourceCleaner
ArticlesPlugin
dddx
securitypatch20130604
MIGXquip (this one is flagged as disabled)

Ok. At this point, you're probably best off restoring from the original backup, and upgrading to 2.2.15 or whatever the latest 2.2 branch is. Something is not compatible with 2.3, and the only way to tell what would be to disable everything and enable one at a time until something broke.

That doesn't look anything at all like any Manager interface I've seen. What is the System Setting for the manager_theme?
Looks like a custom one called thrislington. Is there a default I can bounce it back to?

Yes. default. And you'll need to clear the cache directory again.
You've cracked it! I've changed the value to "default" and now I can see everything!
Let me play a little, but I think that's it.

Again, what version of MODX did you have to begin with?
