What extras can I used to ask an email from my audience for subscription? I read how notify extras works but I just want a single textbox for email. THank you.
The Subscribe extra is one option. You don't need to use Notify with it (though I do). Notify already has a single textbox for the email, so I'm not sure what you mean.
Like a textbox and submit button? What chunk am I going to use to display those.
The default Notify setup has a textbox and a submit button (along with some other stuff that lets you select the group to send it to). You can also create a custom chunk to use for the form. There's also an option to shorten URLs and another option to use Mandrill to send the email.
I've installed Notify and applied the tv in my templates. Still don't know where to find the textbox and the button.
Edit a resource, on the TV tab find the Notify TV and click on "Launch Notify".

Notify usually sends email to everyone in a specified user group. You would need to tell it what user group to send to.
Are you looking for a contact form for people to email *you* with? In that case, install SPForm and you'll have one.
Is SPForm and notify compatilbe?
Yes, they have nothing to do with one another. Notify is to let the webmaster send single or group emails to users. SPForm is to let site visitors email the webmaster.
