Hi, I've almost finished development and am uploading the site bit by bit to my test server. (under a sub-domain)
I have a custom gallery and I'm attempting to link to resource 18 i.e. [[~18]] but when I mouse over the link on the front end, it is pointed at resource 11 which is an unrelated container. I can even remove the link entirely yet it still shows up as being there linked to resource 11.
I've tried clearing the cache, different browsers, logging out and in but no good. It all works fine on my local server though....
Could this have anything to do with friendly urls and being in a sub domain? I've tried turning friendly urls off but still the same problem.
This is really strange - if I remove the chunk entirely that's creating the link it does disappear but if I just remove the link within the chunk it doesn't!
Has anyone come across anything remotely like this before?
I changed the chunk name to something new but left the snippet calling the old chunk name.
The old chunk name was still loading even though it didn't exist... So I changed the chunk name the snippet is calling to the new variant and it works perfectly.
While I'm glad it's working, this shouldn't have happened and I'm a bit nervous about handing it over to the client now haha. I'll report back if anything like this continues to happen. Version 2.2.14 advanced.
Ok now a whole sub-category of chunks has disappeared from the manager.
I can confirm they are still in the database and still working with the site on the front end.
Jeebus.
I deleted that sub-category from the categories menu and now the chunks have appeared again just without being assigned to any category.
OK it appears to be some kind of caching issue that I have no idea how to fix.
I can create a chunk without any problems, I copy and paste into the chunk and click save.
Problem is, say I then change a resource link within that chunk, it continues to use the old one. Even though I save it, clear the cache, flush sessions/permissions, whatever.
If I close and reopen the chunk it shows the changes I've made but the system is still using the original copy somewhere!
Could there be a system setting causing this somewhere? Not that I've changed anything to do with caching...
I would try deleting /core/cache/* and see if it helps.
Hi Zaigham, thanks for replying.
I deleted everything in the cache dir and it's still occurring unfortunately.
Looking in the database, the modx_site_htmlsnippets table is definitely showing the correct values so I have no idea where the old ones are coming from.

Is it possible if I can take a look?
Cheers but I ended up just doing a fresh install with the traditional installer and all seems to be working fine so far. That was odd.
