Answered Feedback about the "Base MODX Theme"

I am calling out to any of the 45 people who have bought the Base Template from ThemeForest

Looking at the demo it all seems nice and tidy with pretty much everything that a basic site with a blog needs

My main question - do you get the demo content as well - meaning, the database with all of the site pre-built, as shown in the demo ?

I am personaly not interested in the template, I am interested in how its been put together in Revo

Buying the template for $56 is a lot cheaper than sitting down for hours on end finding out how to set-up a blog with categories, archives, tags and search results.

Learning by doing is great if you have the time (to date - always) but at the moment I don't have the time So learning by viewing + testing a pre-installed basic site is on the cards.

Much appreciated

I haven't seen it myself, but read (on twitter) that the implementation in MODX is very basic. Clearly not made by an experienced MODX developer and without any manager customization.

Why not take a look at http://modx.com/extras/package/flexibility4 - it's free

Hi Mathias

Thanks for the feedback

As stated in my first post - the template itself is not what I am after

If the template is sold with the full DB that is used in the demo I would buy it - as a time saver

I saw this image: http://base.rev.modxcloud.com/assets/images/admin1.jpg

Which if you look at the left panel (resources) has a full site implementation with blog etc. - I only want the DB and any files that are being used as static files - for snippets, chunk etc. calls

From reading the comments here it appears that is is the whole site.

Hi Susan, thanks for the feedback

I had read the comments beforehand - but I didn't find a specific statement about "demo content"

I've seen it in the WordPress section, but as of yet not in the MODX section

I must admit - I am not a fan of "TF" and don't want to create an account on the basis of not knowing exactly what I will be buying

I wouldn't usualy buy a template from them - but this one has, by the looks of things, a basic site set-up which is probably a good starting point to learn Revo

The fifth set of comments, as well as the 11th set, looks to me like references to the entire content.

OK missed that at stupid o'clock this morning - thanks for pointing it out

Well, it's not clear. So I've added a comment, asking for specific statement on the subject of what, exactly, is included.

Thanks for that - I will wait out until the designer responds to your question

For that kind of money, I don't blame you.
