Hi all,

I have created a date TV called storypubs - using the widget Unixtime. I then want to use PHx to format it nicely.

Here is the call in the template.

[*storypubs:date=`%d.%m.%Y`*]

    [*story*]

I am not getting anything back at all - just

in the source.

    Any ideas?

    TIA

If you want to use PHx to format the date, you have to drop the widget to format the output smiley (no need for it there)

        Thank you David,

But dropping the widget did not do the trick?

Any other ideas as to why it refuses to display - all docs are published, cache cleared, backticks all there....

        Ahhh!

It should work, I use this quite often...

Where did you use the code ?

If it’s in a Ditto template be careful to use the placeholder syntax [+ .... +] and if not, is PHx correctly installed and working fine otherwise ?

Edit : Just realized that you’re using the syntax with a TV, while my use was with editedon, createdon and pub_date... maybe that’s the issue here.
Check that on the PHx support thread

            Hi David,

Something went amiss with the PHx install I guess - it is bringing back a value now but a tad bit incorrectly!

Instead of todays date as per the TV’s input it is showing as: 31.12.1969

            * Sorted - David, I put back the Unixtime widget on the TV and now it works as it should.

God I love modx - so many ways to do so many things...... keeps me fascinated with each project I do with it, I always find a way ( and I am a designer not a programmer....)

It took me 2 days to do this from nothing: http://www.moonwaterinteriors.com

Thanks to you and the rest of the team David smiley

Your main menu would look a lot better without the dotted outline when it’s "active":
                  a:focus, a:active {outline:0;}

                      Very cool website smiley

Another suggestion : I find it confusing that the :hover link of the menu are dimmer thant their :link state... I guess that an universal convention that shouldn’t be tempered with. I’d reverse it tongue

Otherwise very smooth design, everything is carefully thought out and well executed, congrats !
