Why? If you want anonymous users to view them, publish them.

However, to answer your question, the Anonymous group has a Load Only policy. Give them another policy that has View Unpublished permission. A modified copy of the Context policy would be appropriate. [ed. note: sottwell last edited this post 12 years, 8 months ago.]

Even if they're published, you can still hide them from menus with the "Hide from Menus" checkbox on the Create/Edit Resource Panel. As Susan says, I can't imagine why you wouldn't just publish them. Are we missing something?

Actually, that is the whole purpose of Publish/Unpublish, so that users can or cannot see the resource. As a convenience, Manager users can be allowed to view them to preview them before publishing.

I'm not sure about saving it as a timestamp, but you can specify U as the date format in the output options date format to have the snippet return a timestamp. Do you actually need it to be a timestamp in the database, or do you just need the snippet tags to output a timestamp?
