Running MODx Revolution 2.2.8-pl (traditional) and installed Slideshow manger version 1.1.2-pl through package management.

Got a few errors during first installation.

New slides created in album 1 save to a future date instead of current. After setting todays date and a later date for expiration, the start and end date defaults to 12-30-1969 automatically after saving. So it is not saving mthe dates I am adding. Last, wen I try and update any slide, the Please Wait message stays on, but nothing else happens. Seems to lock up on this message, but nothing saves. I cannot update any slides (even the examples) or any fields. It just wont update, seems to hang up.

I have uninstalled and re-installed and removed and re-downloaded package multiple times. Now the console just says: Console running... during installation and does not show anything else. Yet the re-install seems to be there and acts the same as before.

Would really love to have this addon if I can get it working, but don't know how to resolve these issues.

Use MIGX, forget SlideshowManager. Seriously... You'll be much happier with the result.

The package looks like it installed fine. You'll see that xpdo failure in packages a lot actually. It doesn't usually mean anything.

If you only need a simple gallery, the basic demo code for the MIGx documentation will do the job. If you really need something more complex, then check this http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/MIGXdb.Create+a+basic+gallery-management+from+scratch+with+MIGXdb

Thank you all for your feedback. I am going to use MIGx because I feel there are no other great options. For those who are following in order to have a slideshow that is editable for your clients, you have to combine multiple addons to get it to work. I have software and can install my own unique jQuerry gallery, but my clients won't easily be able to update the images without the image manager in MODx. MIGx by itself seems to be a basic gallery, you still need to impliment the javascript and slideshow part. I am going to implement this solution: https://www.markhamstra.com/modx/2012/04/managing-galleries-with-migx/

For me slideshow manager would no work properly and it's a shame becuase it would have been easy for my clients. MIGx will work but requires more addons working together.

              Once again thank you.

Probably won't help you now as this is an older post. I have updated SlideshowManager and fixed a few minor bugs. Might fix the "lock up" issue. What version on PHP is this sever running on? Is the PHP INI timezone set?

I installed Slideshow Manager 1.1.3 yesterday. I'm able to create new albums, but not new slides. I fill out the fields in the form and click "Save," and there are no error messages but nothing takes. Could it be a permissions issue?

I figured out the problem: the size of my slide image was larger than the album I created allowed by default (150K). Modified allowed size and all is good.

                      Hi,

How about responsive sites? Width and height is required for images? How to set image width to 100%?
