    Hello,

I work with MODX Revolution 2.1.2.

When I want to create a new document, the database is correctly updated, but when I go on the site it displays: Page not found (404 error).
The document is published, but the site does not display it.

How can I display the new document ?

    Thank you

Is this a new site? Do you have other pages that work as expected?

        Thank for your answer.

No is not a new site.

        I re-activate an old site.

If I modified a page, the database is modified but when I view the page I don't have the modification.

Are you sure you are working in the correct database? I say this because I have on occasion been working with a local dev site and a remote production site edited one and couldn't figure out why the change didn't show up on the other one.

If you have friendly urls turned on try turning them off then viewing the page. You can do this without turning it off as well by using the following url structure:

                mydomain.com/index.php?id=24

*Note: 24 should be replaced with your pages resource id your trying to review

If that works then something is not configured correctly for FURLs to function. Please post back additional system information if that is the case so we can better guide you.

                Cheers

Thank you for all your answers.

I must have at least two problems:

                  1 / For create a new document.
1.1 / If I created a new document, it nothing happens. I have to create a quick document that it works.
1.2/ mydomain.com/alias-name does not work, but mydomain.com/index.php?Id=24 or mydomain.com/id works. Do you have an idea of the configuration problem?

                  2 / I can't edit existing document.
Actually I can change 6 of 29 documents from the database. On these documents the change is taken into account, is proof that I'm on the right database.
For the other 23 document, the changes are not taken into account. These document aren't updated. Is It also a configuration problem?

What Web server and OS are you on? The main reason you would have issues with FURLs is if the rules are not being reader setup on your Web server.

Your second item, can you provide any more details on what errors or screen changes happen when you make changes. Also if you can post back the PHP modules loaded from phpinfo output. This can be found in the reports tab and about system then click the view phpinfo link.

                    Cheers

The site is on an Ubuntu 10.10 64 bits with 512 Mo.

1 / How can I make reader setup for the Friendly URL ? I find nothing in the web.
2 / If I make change, nothing appear. I save my modification, modx say me its OK. And If I view the docuemnt I have the old document (without the new modification) If I go to the database the modification is correctly save. I clear de modx cache.
