Can i set a 'Duplicate' Column button on a Migxdb?
MIGX himself allows this on the Formtab grid

Is this possible?

It's works great.

There's one little caveat:
multi items inside another migxdb are not being duplicated. i asume this happens because the parent class item is not yet created at the moment when you hit the Done button.

It would be very useful to achieve duplication of the a child multi-item list (migxdb type).
When you use 'Remove' option, for example, over a parent item with multi-item inside, they get deleted from the tables correctly when the Join Alias is defined.

In a Box / Cranyons relationship it would be helpful to be able to duplicate a Box with its Cranyons.
How can i obtain that behavior?

UPDATE: An image is attached to illustrate the point. MIGX allowed to create quickly a simple Movie Showtimes manager for testing purposes using related tables and relationship definitions.

Here's the schema i'm using.
I'm no database/php expert. Still a lot of things to learn, but i found surprisingly easy to achieve what i was looking for using modx / migx.

I think, you will need a custom - update - processor in your folder:

components/cartelera/processors/mgr/default/update.php

This update-processor can check, if you are in duplicate-mode and duplicate also all 'childs'

What is the flag for Duplicate mode? I need to do this (duplicate a nested MIGX record that has a mixgdb child), and right now, duplicate only brings up the Edit/Update selected record window.

Duplicate DOES work when I use it on the child migxdb form, just not on the parent.

FYI, this is a MIGXdb config (Product Line) that has a nested MIGXdb form (Product) which then has a nested MIGXdb (Specs).

Looking deeper (to better define the problem, not finding an answer yet), it seems that the duplicate action doesn't work on a migxdb tv input type (it does work on a migx tv input type, but I can't use that).

The "d" and "u" actions have the same result in the config files.... they both fire loadWin with the current selected record's data.

I need to have the d action just duplicate the the db row at minimum (ideally opening a window like what happens with Duplicate Resource is done in the resource tree, but not totally necessary at this point) with an incremented id, then refresh the grid.

Any ideas on how to do that on the migxdb input type and NOT have it fire an update window?

MIGXdb does with 'duplicate' open the window with the datas of the selected record and does save a new record after 'done' with that datas.
If you are missing some fields, which you may not have at the form, you can add them as hidden fields.

Of course it would also be possible to create a custom popup-menu-entry or button which does a custom-action.

I have not had it save a new record. It just saves over the one selected via duplicate. Is something set wrong in my config (it was pasted the earlier post)? This is the case on all my migxdb input types in my CMP. I select Duplicate from the context menu, the update window opens, but if I change the product name, it doesn't add a new record, it just runs the update on the current id/record.
