  • Some further info regarding this perplexing issue. Prior to creating all these tvs and chunks, I had followed the tutorial for creating a basic gallery with MIGXdb http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/MIGXdb.Create+a+basic+gallery-management+from+scratch+with+MIGXdb

But that didn't work either. Sooo, I removed everything deleted all the files the tutorial had created and uninstalled MIGX, cleared cache and then started completely afresh. So whether there is something lingering in the system.....

So this is now where I'm up to.

[s]I tried your snippet call, it completed killed the page including the template (no html at all) and all that was returned was the following:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getSource() on a non-object in /paas/c0030/www/core/cache/includes/elements/modsnippet/25.include.cache.php on line 122

Catchable fatal error: Argument 1 passed to xPDOObject::load() must be an instance of xPDO, instance of modX given in /paas/c0030/www/core/xpdo/om/xpdoobject.class.php on line 404
    [/s]

UPDATE: Then I tried your snippet putting the correct TV in and it works! smiley But it seems strange that the call for the template didn't.

UPDATE: The only thing I can think that I didn't do was to go through the setup configuration process after I had uninstalled and reinstalled after clearing up my files. I've since done that and it all seems fine. Have now used the &tpl=`mychunk` and it works! [ed. note: boomerang last edited this post 11 years, 7 months ago.]

    • Ah, yes. I've forgotten to do that a time or two myself, and it does lead to some very perplexing errors.
