Logically yes.
You can just use the common script to upload the file to the specific folder, then FileDownload R will just automatically list the new file (which is the allowed extension).

I cant't provide. Filenames in table are incorrect (codepage are wrong). But i made a test. If first symbol is a no cirillic, then all is ok. If first symbol is cirillic then name will be displayed from first no cirillic symbol (in my case this symbol is " " (space)).
sample cirillic filename: "word1 word2.xls" will be displayed "word2.xls"
sample 2 cirillic filename: "Z word1 word2.xls" will be displayed "Z word1 word2.xls" becuse first symbol "Z" is no cirillic symbol.

I'm the author of this add-on, if that's what you're asking.
Anyway, I just tested several characters.
I could fix Iñtërnâtiônàlizætiøn.txt , but not привет мир.txt.
It went to
, and that made my computer kept reading it as a plain ? (question mark) character.
