document disappears from context's resource tree, why??

Working on the production side of a MODx site, one speciflc resource called "Files" disappears from its context's resource tree.
It IS there in the DB, I can see it, and it shows in the Wayfinder menu...
It happened after changing menuindex for this plus some other resources to make Wayfinder sort them properly.
How to make the resource appear properly??
This is all happening with the Administrator login!!

Check the DB to make sure the resource has the correct parent. You might also try changing the name and alias.

Parent is correct. Changing name and alias had no effect. Page is still visible in menu as desired, it's just not visible in the tree. Happened after changing its menuindex for Wayfinder sorting. Have no way to determine if this is a bug or a feature.

Definitely not a feature. Does it open if you use the search feature for it?

Yes, it does, thank goodness, this simplifies finding/editing it.
It's not hidden from the menu.

Try clearing the cache, log out and clear your browser cache and cookies, and log in again.

Usually use Chrome in private/incognito mode. Cleared modx caches, flushed all the sessions (mine was the only logged-in session). Cleared Chrome cache twice. Reloaded, document (called "Files") still doesn't appear in context's resource tree. Thank you, Tom

How did you change the menuindex, drag-and-drop or editing the resources?

Any javascript errors?

Don't now remember all of how I worked on menuindex initially, I think I tried drag/drop at first with some resources, then switched to editing the resources. Document was in the tree, then it disappeared after its menuindex change. Most recent edit on the 'missing' resource was in the DB table itself.
