    Hello smiley

    I am trying to use Nifty Corners and version .95

    It is not working - I am sure it is user error smiley

    I was wondering if anyone has made it work successfully in MODx?

    I’ve added the following to the template:

    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="[(base_url)]assets/templates/Loripsum/niftyCorners.css">
    <script type="text/javascript" src="[(base_url)]assets/js/NiftyCube/niftycube.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="assets/templates/Loripsum/niftyLayout.js"></script>

    Help appreciated smiley

    Regards,

    Ken Roberts

      Try it with niftycube.js and niftyCorners.css in the same directory. That works here. (I don’t know about niftyLayout.js, since I don’t use that)

        Thanks - that worked. In the example I had they were in different directories.

          Ok so I got Nifty Corners Cube finally working but... ( http://www.html.it/articoli/niftycube/index.html )

          I cannot get the borders option to work. It seems that it should be pretty simple but of course I’m dealing with "user error" smiley

          Here’s the scoop:

          I have a template with a white background. All I’m trying to do is have a border with rounded corners around an element <div id="box">...</div>. I want the element background to be white too. Actually changing the background color isn’t a problem. The problem is I can’t get any borders to show using the border option.

          So the end result will be that I have a page with a white background that has a box (or boxes) on the page that has a white background too and the box has a border with rounded corners.

          Seems simple enough but not working. I can get other options to work but not the "border".

          Any ideas?

          My brain is melting at this point smiley

            Hi Ken - stop melting your brain, I think nifty corners is not working with borders. To be sure, I was checking the authors page, but not finding an example. Did you see one?

              Funny you mention that...

              I just noticed the same thing. I have been working with this too ( http://webdesign.html.it/articoli/leggi/528/more-nifty-corners/1/ ) and this is where they were successfully able to use the border option. But what I noticed is that they are using version2 instead of version3 that I have been trying. So I will rollback to version2 and see if there is any success and at the same time I will attempt to contact the author about this.

              Thanks Again smiley

                Ken: I had no problem (ha ha) getting borders to work with NiftyCube3 (niftycorners 3).
                Check out the .png of the page I am working on with borders. For development I have the css inline and I’ll attach the html so you can see how i did it. I have had no luck so far getting the corners to work onside MODx however - probably a path problem.
                Cheers,

                  Thanks smiley

                  I took your example and was able to get it to work on MODx. I added path to JS and CSS file. Can you get the bottom corners to round? I am looking to be able to round all 4 corners.

                  /* ========== End of CSS Styling ========== */
                  </style>
                  <!-- NiftyCube script must be the last above head -->
                  <link rel=’stylesheet’ type=’text/css’ href=’[(site_url)]assets/aaa/niftyCorners.css’ />
                  <script type="text/javascript" src="[(site_url)]assets/aaa/niftycube.js"></script>
                  <script type="text/javascript">
                  window.onload=function(){
                  Nifty("div#nav-main a","small transparent top");
                  Nifty("div#navigation a ","normal transparent top");
                  Nifty("div#content-main h2,div#content-sub h2","top");
                  Nifty("div#content-main-title div,div#content-sub-title div","same-height");
                  Nifty("div.headline,div#site-info");
                  Nifty("div#content-main h1");
                  }
                  </script>
                  </head>

                  Thanks Again !!!

                    Ken; Glad you could get the corners to work in MODx - I’m still trying. I tried every permutation to try and round the border bottoms with no luck. I can get the color background to round on the bottom, but not the border. The inline nifty javascript is usually external as: "niftyLayout.js" I put everything in one file until I get it worked out. I started out with Nifty11.html and kept modifying it until I got it to where you see it now. Next is to convert it to a MODx template. So it looks right I attached the logo .png

                      Ken: BTW I have not put in a link to niftycorners.css and it runs fine outside of MODx that way. I think it is built into the niftycube.js
