Well, I have added the .htaccess file, and the seo links work fine smiley

Although for some reason when I go to the pages, it displays the file without the CSS huh From what I can gather, the CSS link is global (so changing the urls shouldn’t matter).

    Site is at: http://www.elitegfx.com/dev/temp/1/

    Thanks for your time cool

Here is what I got from head section of your template:
      ---
      <link rel="stylesheet" href="/dev/temp/1/assets/templates/default/site.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />
      <base href="http://www.elitegfx.com/dev/temp/1/" />
      ---

      Hope this answers your question.

      regards.

Oh, so that bas url is doubling up shocked

Even with removing that base url line, it still comes up with the error. And going to that .css page takes about 10seconds to load the home page (where error pages go to).

umm, verify if files are uploaded correctly, because it seems that CSS file isn’t there.

I believe the problem is with your url rewriting. Whatever page/file I’m asking for I’m redirected to the front page.

Check again your htaccess settings and the FURLs settings in MODx.

I checked the file was there before I came to ask, and anyways, it works if the .htaccess file is remove / renamed.

Below is from the .htaccess file:

              # MODx supports friendly URLs via this .htaccess file. In order to use it, you must change the
              # file name from ht.access to .htaccess. If you don't want to use friendly URLs, you can comment
              # the three Rewrite directives out with pound signs (like the beginning of this line).
              #
              # Make sure RewriteBase points to the directory where you installed MODx.
              # E.g., "/" if your installation is in your root web documents directory (it comes this way by
              # default) or "/MODx" if your installation is in a MODx subdirectory, per the comments below. You
              # must serve web pages via Apache with mod_rewrite to be able to use this functionality.
              #
              # The last two blocks of rules at the bottom of this .htaccess file address anamolies with IE
              # for Windows PCs and the way in which it caches images, which causes a distracting flicker in
              # background images when links are hovered on the page.
              #
              # The output compression directives immediately below serve to speed up delivery of web pages,
              # and may also be optionally commented out.

              RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d

              # Comment these sections out if you do not need them. They can result in having to force reload

use the RewriteBase in .htaccess to point to your modx directory:

Make sure RewriteBase points to the directory where you installed MODx.
E.g., "/" if your installation is in your root web documents directory (it comes this way by
default) or "/MODx" if your installation is in a MODx subdirectory, per the comments below.

and make sure that the css file is in that directory

I believe the problem is with your url rewriting. Whatever page/file I’m asking for I’m redirected to the front page.
If you ask for non existant pages, modx returns the page that is set in manager to be the 404 document what can be the frontpage..

Yes, but even if going to an existing page I was only redirected to the frontpage, that’s why I suggested as I did.
