MaxiGallery ftp problem

Hi,
I have a serious problem with MaxiGallery:

I have about 300 documents, all with MaxiGallery call: [!MaxiGallery? &max_pic_size=`1024`!]
Everything works great when I’m using standard upload form from MaxiGallery "Manage pictures", but, as I have to upload more than 2000 pictures, I have used ftp method:

I have created in galleries/ all the folders I need (same as ID of document where maxigallery call is, with FilleZilla (tried with TotalCommander FTP too), changed permissions on folders to 777, and uploaded pictures (all pictures are 1024x768, no more than 100k).

After that, I went through all documents, press Manage pictures, press Resynch gallery, and encounter problem:

- some galleries are fine, but in some of them I have more than double number of uploaded pictures (and triple number of thumbnails), but not with all pictures...

I have tried to change the picture names to: 1.jpg, 2.jpg, 3.jpg before upload, but, the problem resist..

The strange thing is that all the picture names in folders are changed from, let’s say: 50tn_front_300dpi.jpg to 11111tn_front_300dpi.jpg...Number of letters "1" in front of filename are from 1 to 4-5...

For example:
original file name was: E87_sports_mirror_72.jpg and after resynch, filename on server is: 1e87_sports_mirror_72.jpg but thumbnail names are:
tn_e87_sports_mirror_72.jpg
tn_1e87_sports_mirror_72.jpg

in this case, only two thumbnails, but somethimes there is a 3 or 4 thumbails for every picture...

Do you guys have any idea how to fix this?

Only solution I have found is to synchronize gallery, and manually delete all doubled/tripled pictures through manage pictures page...

First, use the v0.6 test version if you are not using it yet.

Then.. if you are uploading a lot of images with resynch (like more than 10), it will take some time for the php script to create all the thumbnails etc. So you need to configure your web server to allow php scripts to run longer time. See maxigallery wiki page and the part that says "IMPORTANT NOTE".

Yep.. But notice that using v0.6 version alone doesn’t fix the problem. You need to also configure your web server.

BTW, I’m getting error when trying to download v0.6 : Trac detected an internal error

Do you have v.6 somewhere else?

Yes, it seems that the contents of my svn account has been wiped for good and there’s no way to recover it.

I have tried with new version but nothing changed...

Find attached list of files on my harddrive and list of files on server after synching...
You will notice difference, number of thumbnails is 3x bigger than number of actual files, and all the file names changed with leading "1"

I have contacted hosting provider about php execution time, but didn’t get any response yet...

Yeah.. well like I said.. read the part on maxigallery wiki page that says "IMPORTANT NOTE" and you’ll understand what’s going wrong with it. It takes some while for maxigallery to process so many pics at a single request, that it’s hitting the max php script runtime setting of the server (and check memory limit too) and stop the process at the middle of resynching.. and that can cause whole lot of other problems too.
