Hi all,
A while back I have setup one of my sites to use MaxiGallery with the lightbox popup, which works really well however I want to change it now so that when a user clicks on a thumbnail the larger image opens as a new made using a site template or chunk template around it?
I’ve had a look through the wiki but could’nt easily find what I need so thought I would post here to see if it is possible

Do you mean that you still want it to open in a lightbox but with your site template as the content in the lightbox?

Thanks for the replies Thickbox does look interesting.
Here’s an example of one of my pages:
http://www.kidscd.co.uk/Tinkerbell-Colouring-Pages.html at the moment the user clicks on the maxigallery thumbnail and it pops up with the larger image, what i want it to do is when you click on the thumbnail it takes you to a new page where i will have a print icon button and some adsense content.
I’ve mainly noticed that when the lightbox pops up its quite a difficult task to actually print the image, i’m hoping for an easy solution as i spent quite a lot of time adding all hundreds of images in. I have a feeling though I might have to restart it again with perhaps some custom code :S

I have modified the slimbox a little bit, so you can show an hidden div, which you have for each thumbnail, in the description field of the slimbox. So you can put ther an download or print button. See example here:

Hi Bruno,
That looks pretty neat and might well be a quick fix for me, was it easy to add in the hidden Div?
I’ve just been on a call with dbunker aswell and i think long term I need to write a custom solution which generates thumbnails and pages on the fly as potentially I have a few thousand pictures.

Umm.. Isn’t this what MaxiGallery does default? If you call just [!MaxiGallery!]. (or use &display=`normal`)
